Donation FAQs

Suntakul Foundation is a registered non-profit, and donations made by registered businesses in Nepal are generally deductible within the limits set by the Income Tax Act. The treatment depends on your own tax position, so please confirm with your accountant. We issue a formal receipt for every gift, which is the document your accountant will need.

Email us at info@suntakulfoundation.org.np with the date and amount of your transfer and we will send a receipt back, usually within one working day. If you need a stamped hard copy for accounting purposes, say so in that email and we will post one to your address.

Yes. Use the bank account details above for an international transfer, and write to info@suntakulfoundation.org.np if your bank asks for SWIFT details. International transfers can take three to five working days to arrive and your own bank may deduct a handling fee, so the amount we receive is sometimes slightly lower than the amount you send.

Use the Designate To field to direct your gift to a programme area, and name a specific project in the message box if you have one in mind. Where Needed Most is the most useful option for us, because it lets the board move funds to whichever project has an urgent gap.

Email info@suntakulfoundation.org.np from the address you donated with, or call the office, and we will stop the recurring instruction before the next charge date. No reason is needed and there is no notice period. You will receive written confirmation once it is cancelled.
